Seeing Time as Seasonal

I always forget until I'm here that the late spring and summer are busy times for me. Weekly farmers' markets mean lots of time in the kitchen and less time in my studio attending to the other parts of running a business. The website updates that I've been meaning to make haven't happened yet, and the papier mache plant stakes that I started weeks ago are still being painted and finished. And yet, that's the reality of this time of year. Summer also means going places and having visitors, both of which will be happening soon. And while I don't want to lose momentum, I have to accept and ease into this time of year, or I'll miss all the glory of our Vermont summer. It's important to know and remember that certain times of year are more productive than others. Each season has its charm and lessons to teach.
