World Collage Day

This coming Saturday, May 14th, is the celebration of World Collage Day as initiated by Kolaj Magazine in 2018. From their website: Ric Kasini Kadour, the editor of Kolaj Magazine, writes, “We created World Collage Day because we wanted to honour this community of artists and to remind the world what a spirit of cooperation, mutual support, and creativity can look like.”

I can get behind all of those reasons, so I've decided to do a celebration of my own. Locally, I will have a DIY collage table set up at the farmers' market, next to my booth that is on the grassy strip near the Chamber building. You can stop by and make a quick collage to take along, or gather a few papers to take with you. Or, if you're not local, I will be leading a short collage prompt on Zoom at 3pm EST. Please send me an email at papercakescissors@gmail.com if you'd like the link. Either way, I hope you find time this weekend to make a collage of your own. You only need a few minutes, some paper, glue, and scissors, and I guarantee that the time you spend will be worth it!
