I just bought these beautiful antique chocolate molds. They are heavy and amazingly detailed, which I understand is the appeal of using metal over plastic and silicone. Of course, I'd prefer to use almost anything over plastic–the idea of pouring hot liquid into plastic seems icky. The molds are my first real purchase to get ready for the Walloomsac Farmers' Market, which will be starting at the beginning of May...with me as a vendor! So, get ready for lots of posts of candies, cakes, and cookies!

It really looks like spring around here with the daffodils in full bloom and perennials showing their young, leafy faces. Our gloriously warm weather during the week ended with a bit of a cold weekend, but no snow, so no complaints here. It's all clear blue sky and in the 60s today–ice cream weather in New England. Mmmm, ice cream.
