Busy, busy
Somehow, it's February already with nary a post from me! While I haven't updated here, please visit here to see what else I've been up to. Scroll down beyond the fennel soup post to see my quick and easy instructions for truffle popcorn. It's not even a recipe, it's so simple. And if you're just out of truffle oil, it's perfectly good without it (although pretty irresistible with).
More news–my "ideas in motion" books will be in the Naked Book show at 23 Sandy Gallery out in Portland, OR. Go here for a sneak preview.

In non-news, we have been overlooked so far in the snow department. All of the recent snow storms have stayed south, or east, or both. My home state of Maryland has far exceeded even New England expectations of how much snow should fall in the winter months. We've had the same measly amount of snow since the New Year, except for a couple of additional inches. It's hardly enough to snowshoe in, but as New Englanders like to point out, it's only February...so the game is still on.
The house projects continue. We are one step closer to having walls in our front room, and that will be an exciting day. We chose a paint color sometime last summer.
Happy Valentine's Day to all. I think it's important to remember who's important in your life, regardless of whether or not that person is a spouse or partner. I heard some crazy statistic about a high percentage of people being perfectly happy with their pet as their Valentine. There's certainly nothing wrong with that!
