A tough life
Kidalou has a such a hard life. At the moment that I caught him in this photo, he was trying to figure out how to roll over while lying on the windowsill. I know it really disrupted his relaxing afternoon. He tried to eat a small snake today, but somehow the little critter turned out to be a better hider than the cat was a seeker. Kidalou's other mission today was to sit on my freshly washed and waxed car. I wanted to enjoy it clean and shiny for just a few hours–is that too much for a girl to ask?
So, farmers' market week #3 was Saturday. It was a beautiful day, the kind where there was nothing to complain about weather-wise. Even those New Englanders who like to throw in a "it snowed two feet on this date 34 years ago" no matter what month it is were stumped because it was so nice. My favorite pastry was a chocolate-chocolate-almond cookie. With good cocoa powder, cocoa nibs, mini bittersweet chips, the cookie was awesome on its own, but I sandwiched two together with chocolate ganache in between. Truly seriously insanely chocolate!
